Child Care

The Godley Park District Child Care Center offers a safe and educational environment to care for your children.  Our secure facility operates from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Our teachers hold either Early Childhood Degrees or Early Childhood Coursework, to meet the guidelines set forth by DCFS.  All staff are required to obtain at least 20 hours of Early Childhood in-service hours yearly, and are CPR/First Aid Certified.

We accept children from all the surrounding communities.

If you would like information on any of our childcare programs or the registration process, or to schedule a tour of the center, call Jill at (815) 458-6129 ext. 5.

Daycare Classrooms Offered:

Infants & Toddlers
(6 weeks to 2 years)
This program provides infants and toddlers with comfort, consistency, and security by having them remain with the same caregiver for up to 2 years.  We provide developmentally appropriate activities in our classroom to encourage physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and verbal development.

Busy Bees
(2-3 years)
Children in this classroom are introduced to new concepts and activities to prepare them for the early childhood classroom.  Children can remain here until they are at least 3 years old and are developmentally ready to transition to the Early Childhood classroom.

Early Childhood
(3-5 years)
The Early Childhood class includes our preschool program and provides a climate for children to develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually.  We offer a consistent, challenging, and creative center-based curriculum, involving hands-on activities.  The teachers create learning centers in their classrooms to encourage learning through play.  Activities are created to help children meet goals and objectives from the Illinois Early Learning Standards to aid in preparing them for Kindergarten.

GPD Community Preschool Programs (PreK ages 3-5)

The Terrific Threes and Fabulous Fours is centered around pre-literacy skills, social skills, and cognitive development.  Children will learn about themselves and the world around them through play, activities and centers.  Watch them grow and learn before your very eyes.

Terrific Threes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Fabulous Fours meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

School Aged Programs (Kindergarten - 5th grade)

Before/After School Program (BASP)

Our BASP program is designed to offer a safe environment for your children before and after school, while engaging them in fun and challenging activities.

Bus service is provided to and from the Reed-Custer School District and the Braceville Elementary School District.  The parent/guardian must make these arrangements with their school district.

The BASP is offered 6:00 am – 8:15 am and 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and runs during the school year (August to May).  We typically follow the Reed-Custer School District calendar.

Extended day programs are offered for some holidays and scheduled school closings, and possibly some emergency closure days.  Children do not need to be enrolled in BASP year-round to participate in no school days; however, specific DCFS paperwork, including emergency contact information will be required.

Summer Camp

Our summer camp picks up where BASP left off.  Campers will be involved in a variety of activities such as swimming, nature activities, sports, crafts, games, field trips and more!

This program is open to children from any community.  Camp hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Extended care both in the mornings and afternoons is available.
