Programs

Registration is accepted in person or by phone at (815) 458-6129 ext. 0.  Payments can be made in the form of cash, check or credit card.  There is a $20 service fee for all returned checks.  Phone registrations are accepted with credit card only.  

Please register by the deadline date to ensure classes, special events and trips meet the minimum number of participants.  All programs canceled by the Park District will result in a full refund.  Some special events and trips are non-refundable.
 
ALL-AGES

Karate
New Students are accepted in Session 1 ONLY!
Learn the basics of the traditional Japanese style of karate, known as Shorei Goju.  Students are taught flexibility exercises combined with the kicking, punching, and self-defense techniques of karate workouts.

Tuesdays & Thursdays   6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (beginners only until 7:00 pm)

Family Bingo Nights
Join us for a night of family fun and tasty food.  Enjoy a tasty meal while you play for prizes (no cash prizes).  Fee includes, main course, dessert, drinks, and prizes.

The Original Secret Pantry
The Original Secret Pantry is free for anyone in any community who may be in need.  Located at the Godley Park Barn, on the corner of Kankakee Street and Route 129. 
Pickups are every other Thursday.  Times vary.

Godley Resident Luncheon
Adults from the Village of Godley can join us for a complimentary luncheon.  Bingo starts at 10:00 am.  Lunch is served at noon.  Bring your neighbor!

Circle Jam (New times!)
Do you play a musical instrument and want to join other musicians for a jam session?  Perhaps you just want to enjoy some excellent local music?  Come out to Circle Jam!  This FREE program is held at the Rec Hall (next to the water tower).

Gong Meditation & Celebration
The gong is an ancient and sacred instrument used for healing, restoration and transformation throughout the world.  It produces a strong, almost tangible sound wave, which stimulates the physical body by influencing the surface of the skin and every cell.  

It is recommended to wear layers of loose, non-restrictive clothing, and to bring a mat to lie on, pillow, blanket, chair, water or anything else you may need to comfortably relax into the experience.

Seasonal Self-Care Class
This class is designed to promote beneficial daily habits.  We will be utilizing techniques from Eastern and Western traditions to deepen the breath, move the body and experience a deeper state of relaxation.  Please bring an exercise/yoga mat to lay on as well as a firm blanket or two.

The Spring session will focus on breathing, posture and relaxation.

Fees: $45 per person, per session or $10 drop-in

Next Session:  July 11 – August 15 (breathing, strength, relaxation)

Youth & Teen

Cheerleading Camp
This 3 week camp will focus on the fundamentals of cheer, such as: jumps, tumbling, motions, stunts, etc.  Please wear athletic clothing with gym shoes and put hair up.  Bring a water bottle.  Participants will also receive a T-shirt.  We will show off our new skills with a performance at Godley Park’s All-American Country Fair on the evening of Saturday, June 29.

Youth Basketball
Our annual Youth Basketball program takes place on Saturdays in January and February. 
This camp is designed to teach basic basketball fundamentals, such as dribbling and passing.  Students will put these practices to trial in friendly scrimmage games.  Open to boys and girls from all communities.
1st – 3rd grade     9:00 am – 10:00 am      $35
4th-5th grade      10:00 am – 11:30 am     $50
6th-8th grade      11:30am – 1:00 pm        $50
2025 registration will open in November 2024.
T-shirt size needed upon registration.
 
Game Room
Our game room is equipped with pool tables, foosball, air hockey, game tables, TVs and a variety of game systems.  The game room is open to all ages 6+.  An adult must accompany and supervise their children under the age of 6.


Open Gym

Our gymnasium is a great place to get out of the cold or the heat when you still want to be active and can’t be outside.  Call ahead for Open Gym availability or check the calendar on the board outside of the gym.

Free to Village of Godley residents and anyone 17 years old & under (high school students may be asked to show ID to verify age).
$2 per person for Non-Resident 18+ years old
