Posting: August 14, 2025 – Childcare Teacher (see positions below)

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of a developmentally appropriate learning program for young children.  Must be teacher qualified meeting the following DCFS qualifications:

• Must be at least 19 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED)

• Must have at least 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; or

  • 1 year (1,560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university with 6 semester hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; or

  • Completion of credentialing programs approved by the Department:
    • Child Development Associate Credential (Council for Professional Recognition); or
    • Certified Childcare Professional (National Early Childhood Program Accreditation) (NECPA); or
    • Gateways to Opportunity Credentials:
      • Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Credential Level 3 or higher; or
      • The Infant Toddler Credential (ITC) Level 3 or higher.
• At least one year of experience working with children ages birth to five.
• Flexible and dependable with work schedule
• Passion for working with children

Teaching positions are part-time with 25-30 hours per week.
